How theWeasleys changed my life as a redhead?Emmy is a digital film and TV editor at HelloMagazine, with a huge love of Harry Potter. She specialises in pop culture and entertainment.(Emmy是一個(gè)在Hello Magazine數(shù)字電影和電視,超級(jí)愛(ài)《哈利波特》的編輯,她專門研究流行的文化和娛樂(lè)。)when I was introduced to not just one gingerhero in the Harry Potter series, but a whole family of them, you can imagine howdelighted I was.(當(dāng)我被介紹給不止一個(gè)在《哈利波特》系列里的擁有紅發(fā)色的英雄,而是他們的整個(gè)家庭時(shí),你能想象到我有多激動(dòng)。)It is a truth universally acknowledged thatredheads didn't generally have the best time in primary school. Having red hair, even without hand-me-down robes, was basically an invitation to be picked on, whetheryou went to a wizarding school or your standard comprehensive. As much as I insistedthat my hair was actually auburn (or titian, depending on one's preference), unfortunatelymore things rhymed with ginger, so that was that. Then when I was introduced tonot just one ginger hero in the Harry Potter series, but a whole family of them, you can imagine how delighted I was. Here's how the Weasleys helped me to live mybest redheaded life...(一個(gè)普遍被承認(rèn)的事實(shí)就是紅頭發(fā)們并沒(méi)有正常地在小學(xué)擁有最快樂(lè)的時(shí)間,有著紅頭發(fā)的他們甚至沒(méi)有流傳下來(lái)的長(zhǎng)袍,但基本上都有一種可以挑選的請(qǐng)柬,不管你上的是魔法學(xué)校還是標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的綜合學(xué)校。 韋斯萊家族就是這樣幫助我度過(guò)最好的紅頭發(fā)生活的……)It was 2001and during 'circle time' in my year 6 classroom, our teacher asked which fictionalcharacter we would most like to be. I proudly opted for Ginny Weasley. Despite oneclassmate’s snarky cry of 'who?!', I was pleased with my choice. For the first timein a long time, there was a ginger character to get on board with. After all, Ginnywas in one of the coolest wizarding families! She lived in the Burrow! She couldcast a mean Bat-Bogey Hex! She became slowly possessed by the spirit of Lord Voldemort!OK, maybe not that last one.(那是2001年在我六年級(jí)教室的“圓圈時(shí)間”中,我們老師問(wèn)我們最想做哪個(gè)虛構(gòu)人物。 Ginny wasn'tthe only redheaded Harry Potter character to inspire me. Ron, after all, was Harry'sbest friend, and he’s not teased about his hair in the books, not really. It wasn'ta personality point, nor was it an invitation for the rest of the characters totreat him badly. In fact, the only character to point out his hair is Draco Malfoy, who then gets superbly taken down by Harry Potter, marking the end of any chanceof them becoming friends. It made me realise that hair colour isn't nearly as importantas being good at something; like Ron with his chess, or being a great friend, orsticking your neck out to help someone. Just because my hair colour was what myclassmates zoned in on, it didn't need to define me.(金妮不是唯一一個(gè)《哈利波特》中激勵(lì)我的紅頭發(fā)角色。 Suddenly,the classmates that picked on me were just a bunch of mini Dracos. And who wantsto be Draco, running to tell the teacher every time he wanted to get Harry in troubleand buying his way into the Quidditch team, when you can be ginger and winning theHouse Cup?(突然,欺負(fù)我的同學(xué)們都變成了一群小型德拉科。想成為德拉科的人總想跑著去告訴老師他每次都想將哈利置于麻煩之中,收買他進(jìn)入魁地奇隊(duì),當(dāng)你能像一個(gè)擁有紅發(fā)色的人贏得學(xué)院杯?)Then therewas the Weasley family beyond Ginny and Ron. Fred and George were easily the funniestand most likeable characters in the novels (in my opinion, anyway). Hilarious, charmingand massively popular, it made me feel smug that we had at least one thing in common. Not to mention Bill, who especially made being a redhead cool, what with his ponytailand his fang earring.(除了金妮和羅恩還有其他的韋斯萊。 Of course,I'm not the only one to feel like the Weasley family seriously helped me out asa youngster. Speaking about how J.K. Rowling helped her to love her red tresses,Laura, 33, said:"She inspired me when she said she loved ginger peopleat the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiere. I also love the factthat all the main characters are ginger like Lily, Ron, all of the Weasleys."Hayley, 28, added that thanks to the Weasleys, she's never dyed her hair a differentcolour. She said:"There wasn’t really anyoneelse who I knew in my year at school who was a redhead and people would always makejokes about me being ginger and I always desperately wanted to change my hair colour. But then the Weasleys got a bit of a cult following and became cool, so it helpedme embrace my colour rather than hate it - haven’t touched hair dye since!"(當(dāng)然,我不是唯一一個(gè)人認(rèn)為自己像韋斯萊家族的人,這在我年輕的時(shí)候幫助過(guò)我。 但后來(lái)韋斯萊兄弟由來(lái)一批狂熱的追求者,所以這幫助我接受了我的顏色而不是討厭它——到現(xiàn)在都沒(méi)染過(guò)它!”)Even RupertGrint himself had a lot to say about the Weasleys being up front and centre in thenovels. Speaking at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiere, sayingto J.K. Rowling:"What you've done for ginger people … I can't putit into words. So, thank you, Jo," to the ecstatic screaming of what I assumewas the ginger part of the crowds at Trafalgar Square.(就連魯伯特. Going froma hair colour that went from being widely mocked to coveted was great. With countlesspeople dressing up for Hallowe’en sporting red hair and a broken wand as Ron, itcan most definitely be said that the Weasley family contributed to the rise of theredheads, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of that crowd.(頭發(fā)的顏色從被廣泛地嘲笑到令人羨慕的是極棒的。 Now, who wantsto talk about Spattergroit?(現(xiàn)在,誰(shuí)想來(lái)談?wù)勊腊吖炔???/section>出品:預(yù)言家日?qǐng)?bào) 2020翻譯部編輯:社長(zhǎng)(微信號(hào):1915207080)來(lái)源:預(yù)言家日?qǐng)?bào)
